Geologic Hike Details:

Come join the Ohio Section of the American Institute of Professional Geologists on a FREE geologic hike of Blackhand Gorge State Nature Preserve on Saturday, April 25, 2026.  This hike will be led by Mike Angle, geologist at the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Geological Survey, presenting on the Geology of Blackhand Gorge State Nature Preserve.

Guidebook will be provided to registered attendees at the start of the hike. 

Dependent on weather, wet / muddy conditions may exist.  Appropriate field shoes and clothing are recommended. The geologic hike starts promptly at 10 AM. Attendees should plan to meet at Blackhand Gorge State Nature Preserve Parking Lot area prior to 9:45 AM.
